This year I was very fortunate to draw a G6 tag in CA. I have never hunted the area or this hunt it is Dec1-9 and believe it is during rut and migration.
While escorting I have been looking at areas in the 5600 elevation upwards to 9600. Should I focus on the higher elevation early in the hunt or lower?
I did take a 4 1/2 hr detour yesterday to drive through the area on my way back from Chico and one minute I'm in heavy timber then the next it's similar to my terrain in Southern Ca. Anyone have any ideas how how I should Hunt this? Thanks
