Hi All,
I've been checking out the forums for quite some time when I decided a couple of years ago I wanted to try and get out and hunt the west. I'm a lifelong hunter and Wisconsin resident - NEWHunter as in NorthEastWisconsinHunter. I have taken a couple of bears, some deer, and several turkeys with both gun and bow. I started looking in to hunting "Out West" a couple of years ago and I'm now buying points in Wyoming and South Dakota with some friends and family. I chose the aforementioned states to apply in as they cost is relatively reasonable and they are "close" to Wisconsin. For now, all of my Western hunts will be DIY, as guided hunts and landowner tags aren't in the budget with a young family. I'll be making my first second trip to Wyoming (first was to see Devil's Tower as a kid) to hunt antelope on a second chance tag. Good luck to all and have a safe hunt.
