alright call me stupid but I'm trying to figure this out. If I wanted to hunt elk in Wyoming on private land next year, what will I need to do? and I can't seem to find season dates and I think the price right now is $591 plus a conservation stamp for $14. Is this all costs? and do I need to apply for a draw?

You are not stupid - or maybe I am too?! Those regs are like the tax code docs, and I have an accountant. I planned to apply for a NR goat tag - was told I need to get my phD in WYO apps this semester so I can apply too mudranger1!

Buy a preference point before September 30 and you can probably draw a general tag next year. You need to figure out if the unit you want to hunt is a general unit or a limited entry unit. ("General" tags must be drawn by non-residents. OTC for residents.)

This WY unit map will tell you whether the unit is general or limited entry.
