My buddy and I leave tomorrow night after work for a late season Cow elk hunt. He's coming from Appleton and I'm coming from the Twin Cities. We're meeting up in Albert Lea and driving through the night to the Douglas, WY area for some late season cow elk hunting. We should arrive in the early morning hours, which should be enough for a couple of hours of sleep and then on to the hunt!
We've never been in the area before (except via google earth), so the first day will be scouting via the truck to locate the "girls" and get a lay of the land. We've only got 3-4 days of hunting, but our expectations are high.
The local wardens have been awesome and Buzz gave me some great advice.
Hopefully we'll have some nice pics to show in 3-4 days! I can't wait!
