turkey Hunting in Californai

Hello everybody,

I am looking for a general area to turkey hunt in California. I am located in los Angeles and if possible i would like to keep it around 3 hours from LA. I am mainly a duck hunter and reserve most of my time to duck hunting this time of year.

Hello Reduck,

I would recommend the San Diego back country. The Julian and Mt. Laguna areas hold lots of Turkey. The challenge is to find a spot on public land, they are few but it is possible.

Use your Google maps and take a chance, head that way.
