New Mexico unit 34

Anyone have any advice for this unit? Will be a successful hunt regardless because I get to hunt with my dad. I just put in with him and his partner so I can hunt with him, they did the deciding, but it sounds like not much research has gone on, so just looking for a little insight on the unit. Thanks!

Good unit with lots of deer and elk. They have had some CWD in that unit and they have upped the tag count the last couple years. Deer quality in NM isn’t great anywhere, but there are some decent deer in that area. Haven’t hunted 34 myself, but have spent some time there camping and hanging out in Cloudcroft. We camped north of there (in 36) last year the same weekend as rifle season, and got kept awake all night by bugling bulls.
