With 3 big fires burning north of Highway 200 I'm interested in commentary from guys who are normally hunting this area right now or plan on hunting it in rifle season. I'd be in the latter group.
All public access to 281 is currently closed. Looks like the moisture (knock twice on wood) we have headed our way this weekend may change things. I think it's a pretty safe hunch that the elk are way further back in the Scapegoat/Bob, near water, or hunkered down in the river bottoms.
Strategy for those out there that plan on hunting this land once opened back up?
Thank you to all of the men and women who have been tirelessly contending with these fires, and sincere condolences to those who have lost property.
