Morning guys,

I have been all over the MT FWP website and I cant seem to find the odds of drawing a combo deer tag. I can find the odds for deer permits, but cant find the combo tag odds. Also, in the past I had heard of guys buying the big game combo tag and then returning the elk portion to guarentee a guy would get a combo deer tag. Is this a good idea, or have they changed that, so its not possible anymore?

The past couple years there have been leftover (several hundred) nonres combo tags available after the season opener(s). Meaning, unless something drastically changed, your draw odds for a nonres general combo tag should be 100%.

I know there have been leftover big game combo tags, but I thought that just deer tags have sold out. Or am I wrong on this?

They have sold. I saw somewhere that odds were about 75%, but certainly would not stake my reputation on the number....
