2 of my bird hunting friends and I have been hammering the dove fields.

As we were leaving the other evening the geese stated coming in. By the time we pulled out there were in the range of 3000 in this field we were sitting in.

Yesterday a sun set leaving twice as many were landing.

I have a feeling another great year of geese hunting will soon be here.

One of last years mornings , BTW there were 2 other hunters on the shoot.

Congrats ;)

Geese are landed here 365 days a year...it is not that fun anymore.

Kinda like shooting mallards or dock ducks as we call them...they are here year round. We consider them as trash ducks and do not even raise the gun.

Brian, we have thousands of resident geese that I would hunt in the early season but a few good hunts with the club members is more about just getting out and enjoying the shooting.

Plus the farmers are happy.
