Family Traditions

I'm 75% Norwegian. So, while I married a woman of non-Norwegian extraction, we raised our kids observing Christmas on Christmas Eve as I was raised, and as it's practiced in Norway. I'm not one for tradition, but it's one I truly love. There's something more "homey" about a lit christmas tree, a fire in the fireplace, candlelight, hymns, and the unwrapping of presents in that environment than in stark daylight. Presents on the morning of the 25th were from that pagan Santa. On Christmas Eve they are from each other.
