Curious if anyone has ever seen one, or would know why they would be. I was over getting my trail cameras out of the mountains that have been there since October. Was surprised to find that two bull elk had it out a couple different times and both in front of the camera. The first picture, you can see one of the bulls that is in the fight for sure, and his buddy in the back ground. In the following pictures, if you note the date and time, you can see they go at it at least two different times. I have over 80 pictures of these two doing their thing. Pretty cool that they picked this spot to do it.

Most animals are continually trying to establish a pecking order just like those bulls are and it happens all year long, except when they're in velvet.

Think of it as fistbumping between buddies, elk style. If you notice the body posture of those bulls, they aren't anywhere close to fighting. I'd be willing to bet that as soon as they separated they went right back to feeding.
