Gastro Gnome - Eat Better Wherever

Deer - lets see em

It looks to me like 260- 270. Has it ever been scored? I could be way off, it could be the Montana state record if it is from Montana.

The other buck is a nice one also. Nice to see someone hunting with vintage firearms.

I got my second buck (late starter) over the weekend near Ruidoso, NM. I was hoping for meat and got a decent rack I'm giving to my oldest boy as well. My only gripe was hauling the meat up and out of a canyon, but my buddies help share the load so I "only" had about 100 pounds of deer to shoulder.

By the way, Randy's recent advice on the left hand lock for shooting off of a bipod (or in my case a tripod) was great. It really did lock me down from 165 yards away.

Not claiming any credit for these, just passing along photos of a couple of North Carolina whities taken in the last few days.

Not much in the way of height, but long and wide.

This one is impressive. Don't know yet what it scored, but the G2's were 17.5" and the G3's were 16.5".

These are my wife's and my deer from this year. It was another fun year hunting together. First time resizing photos, so hopefully it doesn't turn out too aweful.

Montana 2015 was our first western deer hunt and we'll definitely be back. My brother got the whitetail and I got the mule deer.

My 2015 CO deer. We'd hiked in 5 miles to get past the day hunters, set up camp, and this was about halfway through a 3-mile recon the first evening. My buddy stopped to take a leak and mess with his pack after we climbed out of a canyon. I saw some fresh tracks in the drifted snow and hiked over to have a look (you can vaguely see the tracks below the trees on the upper right). This guy and some does were at the end of the tracks at 90 yds...
