Colorado Unit 75 help!

Hello,
First timer here, I have an opportunity to early Archery hunt in Unit 75, an Archery Elk hunt has been on my bucket list for many many years.
I do not know the area well, except for what I have been looking up on the web.
My Son and I will be going up last weekend in Aug. Will be staying just NE of Durango a few miles.
Any information would be gratefully excepted!
If any one has a hunt in AZ Unit 9 I will gladly help you out.

That looks like some pretty gnarly and open country. Looks like it may have burned at one time because of all the deadfall in the satellite photos. I don't know the area, but like any archery season you're going to have to cover some miles. Practice your calls and be prepared for a grunt of a pack-out if you get one down. Sorry I can't be more help than that!
