Try to figure out where you want to go first. Then check on seasonal road closures. In the area I hunted only part of the road was open until May 15th so we were limited the first couple days of the hunt.
Afternoons/Evenings were all we hunted. As mentioned the days are long and your out late...
Thanks for the input guys. I have been using basecamp from garmin and then viewing google earth from the view tab. It works ok. I will have to check out the OnX site once they get the servers upgraded.
Was wondering if there is a way to view OnXmap chip data in google earth? I have the MT chip for my garmin. Trying to do some e-scouting for my trip in Nov. and I've found some good looking areas. They are close to private but I just cant tell for sure. Any ideas would be helpful.

I struck out in the draw this year (which was expected) but I'm thinking of getting a leftover tag. Are private landowners a little easier on the pocketbook for bowhunters? I'm thinking of going out as soon as the season opens in Aug. If anyone has info on trespass fee hunts in a leftover unit...
I bowhunted there a few years ago. Never had any trouble finding goats but it was tough getting close. Public area is short pasture with gentle rolling hills and some badlands.
I came away empty handed but had fun in the process. Check out Fort Robinson SP. They have a campground and lots of...
