Anybody gonna go after them this spring I have a buddy that runs a guide service so he talked me into tagging along in 3 weeks sounds like a great time I have done canadas a few times and liked it not a huge waterfowl hunter but sounds to me like Snows is a hole different deal with the amount of birds a guy can see and shoot in a day.
Anybody have any pics to tide me over till i get there.

If you hit the migration you "WILL NOT BELIEVE YOUR EYES". What a sight to see.

good luck to all
the dog

Might go out one or two times, but I'm starting to get burnout. Honker closes this weekend and plan on hitting it Sat & Sun.

Getting close to fishing time!

Were you able to import the fowl you killed?
I have been told it is dang near impossible to get birds back to states.
I canceled one trip when a buddy's birds were impounded by Argentine officials.
Why would I go if I can't bring back birds to mount that I have never seen before???
Killing 50 a day is not the point to me----different species is what I want.

Poiningdogsrule. ever seen the herds of snows in SASK in Sep/Oct?

TOM,

I just saw your post. I was able to bring one giant cooler back of "cleaned" birds. They still tasted like duck. :p I left money with the outfitter who said he would have his taxidermist do 4 birds for me at 125 bucks each pluss the shipping. Unfortunately that outfitter is nowhere to be found and I've never seen my birds  After my experience I spoke with a local taxi that has done birds from Argentina before...I think like Africa there is a process for getting them shipped to your taxi.

I can honestly say even though not getting the birds back, I had an incredible trip. I ate, drank and slept well. Proobably the best food I've ever ate. I think I returned to the states 5 to 10 lbs heavier.

Went and chased snows last weekend set all 1500 decs thurs night rained and windy friday. Sat was 45 mph winds and cold not real productive shot 5 or 6. Sunday morning was lil different had much calmer winds and warmer temps had tons of birds moving through the area had a few groups work in and shot some real nice birds.

Hoping to do a Snow goose trip next year in Nebraska with a buddy who just moved there. Seeing those pics just confirms it.
