I am in the market for a spinning rod that I can pack in for a back country camping trip this summer. If you have one that you like I'd love to hear about it. Looking at 3 or 4 piece spinning rods in light or medium light action. Was hoping to find one around $50 or less if possible. Thanks for any advice.

sportsmans guide has a telescopic spinning rod for 15 bucks,,only about 16 inches long when folded up,,they work great for stream fishing,,the item number is WX2-119561

Thanks for the replies. Definitely have a few things to check out now. I've always been leery about getting telescopic rods though. I have heard they have very little sensitivity but they sure do seem compact and convenient.

I have had a 6'6" St.Croix 4 piece travel rod for about 12 years and it is a nice rod and the feel is pretty similar to my 1 piece rods. It breaks down to carry backpacking. I think it is a Triumph model.
