Anyone on here rifle hunt in the Crazy mountains?I've hunted it in archery a couple years back.Was wondering how good of a rifle hunt it is.I'm looking to take my son out on this hunt.Does Montanas website have stats on each unit like Co does?I haven't had time to look yet.I got some imfo on another area from a friend but am personally familiar with the Crazy mts

How did your archery hunt go? Did you write up a report on it so others can learn a bit more about the area during the archery season
I hunted up upper cottonwood creek about 12 years ago and seen lots of elk heading lower into the checkerboard private areas. I ran across more pressure there than other places I now hunt. I seen over 200 elk in a single morning, but they we heading north. I only hunted up there three days so my experience is limited.

I hunted the Crazies in archery season as well, if I had to hunt it in rifle Id hunt parallel to private land at least a mile from any trail or road.
