Raghorn Express

Thanks. By far it was the most fun hunting experience of my life. I had a smile on my face every night back to camp even though the elk were whipping my monkey butt all over the mountains. I kept half expecting Cushman to jump out and yell, "Frigging newb!" each time I set up on a bull that didn't pan out.

Even though I was in tight quarters with some big bulls, I killed a bull about equal to my experience level and ability.

That's the best looking elk country I've seen. Flat, not brushy and green.

Congrats on the bull DDD.

My Uncles 1st Rifle opening morning rag....which I would have shot had I been where he was. I did get to help pack out though.:D

Elk Camp 2012. Colorado 1st season --- opening morning was a blast! (Sorry - phone pic.) Visibilty was poor, but the elk hunting could not have been any better. My buddy was a little quick with the trigger. He laid this guy down, and then the big dude stood up. Filled a cow tag too = 100%. With only 2 tags we opted not to rent a horse, so the packs got a workout.
