quail hunting in socal

has anybody hunted quail in socal ? I found a great spot in carrizo plains area, but i am looking for a closer spot. I would any suggestions please.

We used to hunt quail and chukar out there on the Carrizos, fun times

I might have to go back there. I went last year and it was loaded with quail.

I did some scouting on highway 33 in the padres and found so good quail hunting spots. I wont give exact locations, but i found tons of quail between wheeler gorge and rose campground .happy hunting

We've hunted quail in both Blythe and across the river on the CRIT indian reservation. Depending on where you are at in SoCal that's about a 3 hour drive, just in another direction - East instead of North.
