Pics and more pics...

Temps in the mid 50's last weekend (pretty much unprecedented for Northern Wisconsin in Feb.) made for some fantastic ice fishing. All the snow in the yard melted, but we are supposed to get 10 in in the next 24 hours. It is still February after all.

Pictures from my next-door neighbor's Steelhead Fishing Trip. He had one bite in 4 days of fishing. Photos taken by Craig Fellin.

Going into the cabin to check out snow situation.
Looks like whoever built your roof should have built the roofs on all those sheds and buildings that collapsed west of you this winter. Love that pic.

If Fin pays for server space by the megabytes, I wonder if threads like this are bittersweet.

I mosaicked a bunch of 1938 aerial images a while back. Probably hard to see, but the town at the bottom of the picture is Townsend, Montana. The braided stream to the north is now under a big pile of water called Canyon Ferry Lake. It can be thought-provoking to look at some of the big lakes in the west created by dams and wonder what we've buried underneath the water.

I had the company that built the trusses for me to go a little overkill on snowload, but thinking I should go a little heavier on the knee bracing until we decide if we are going to pull *Nellie* out and frame into a real cabin.
