northwest nebraska mulies

i am from southcentral colorado and plan 2 go to northwest nebraska around Chadron and the nebraska Ntnl forrest to hunt mulies. iam looking for locals or any hunters that are familuar with the area, deer type, the lay of the land ect. if there is any one with any type of info i deeply appriciate it

I use to live in Chadron. There is a lot of country to hunt on the National Forest land. The thing is it gets hit pretty hard during rifle season. There is a lot of roads so access is good so a lot of deer get taken out of there. My buddy said he has seen a lot of Blackpowder hunters. There is still some good deer if you can get close to private land while hunting Public ground. Check out around the state park and south. Also take a look at the grasslands north of Harrison, Ne. There are mulies up there. I hope this helps.
