I look forward to winter fly fishing. This year good fishing has been accelerated by the mild weather, the midge hatches have been incredible with some 20-40 fish afternoons.Standing in a winter river with wet gloves can test resolve,..frozen fingers, frozen line guides, but it is THE BEST time to fish Montana.Plenty of solitude.

Which rod would that be,the Echo Ion in the first pic or the Sage Xp in the second?;) Joking aside, it is my opinion the XP is the finest rod ever. However that Echo Ion is a SWEET rod for the money.I just purchased my second one(pictured) ,this 10'- 6wght. is a fantastic streamer rod.Its a little on the heavy side, and definitely is suited best with a #7 line but for $189.00 I feel it is one of the best values out there,....I am very impressed with this rod.It will throw out some serious line. Now ....if I could just afford a Sage One in a 10'-6 wght.
