Ruby Mtns snowstorm mule deer hunt Nov 2012_Fotor.jpg

My favorites tend to be alpine meadows in late fall or sagebrush flats in late summer. Above is early November up in the Rubies of northern NV. Snowstorm during mule deer hunt pushed us into taking an early lunch break in the pines.

Any Place Wild !!! Did some scouting this week looking for more elk and deer areas to hunt , found some fresh rubs , thinking this Elk is trying to lose his horns , went back up this morning, put a trail cam out to see if I can get a pic of him ! I just love being in the woods , these are the new clear cuts I found had to walk in for theses

Like several already mentioned, I can find beauty in many places as long as there is solitude and "wildness". Just in the last two years I have experienced some fascinating spots from the desert of New Mexico, the alpine lakes of Colorado and the hills of Nebraska. I will leave out the names of those places but here are a few:

Southern New Mexico
