Knife

Especially a muddy one....

I am currently packing a Benchmade Steep Country (S30v) and a Havalon. I am pretty pleased with both.

I'm packing the same and am very happy. I do occasionally pack a buck mini alpha and a german made knife of my grandpas.

I use a set of Camillus knives that I got as a gift and they've been by far the best skinning knives I've used

FWIW I carry a Gerber Vital and a $20 Bear and Son's fixed blade skinner that holds an edge better than my other knives. Fingers crossed they'll have the Benchmade raffle at the BHA Rendezvous again. I totally missed out on that one and saw a few of them make short work of a moose this fall.

i always have my avalon piranta with me. love it! but i also carry with me either my buck 110 or Vanguard.

Look at the Buck 277. Its a drop point folder. Buck's steel is specially heat treated by Paul Bos, the best man for heat treating knives in the US. GJ
