Hello all,
I'm what I'd call a intermediate beginner what it cone to hunting. I've been out after deer, elk, javalina, pronghorn, and turkey over the past 6-7 years but have only had success with javalina, pronghorn, and turkey all of which I am starting to rank in a different category than elk and deer. I am pretty dedicated to becoming a successful hunter and am spending several hours a day on preparations and skill development. I started out with muzzleloader, added rifles, and recently picked up a bow since i got tired of not drawing anything here in New Mexico and wanted to maximize my odds. Shortly after getting the bow I was able to grab a leftover archery coues hunt this Jan so I'm shooting every day I can. I'm looking forward to learning from this forum, both hunting skills to push me over the hump with deer and elk, and about ways I can support conservation efforts as well.
