Help with Crazy Mountain Goat Survey

Bummed I missed this opportunity (due to work)! Just spent this past weekend above Blue Lake though.

Jealous of you guys who got to be part of it. Hoping to join you next year.

MTMiller - what lake is that you have in the photos? Looks like an awesome place, and will have to put on my "to hike to" list!

Rob the tree with up growing cones is a Subalpine fir (I'm willing to bet you knew that already just wanted to state that for those who didn't know). When they are young they can sometimes be confused with Douglas Fir whose cones have little mousetails on them.
I'm surprised about the goats eating the false hellebore because it is crazy toxic...one book I read stated that even a taste had enough toxins to kill a human. The digestive system of whatever animal ate them must be really tough!
