Drew tags with my hunting partner in Gardiner and was hoping for any advice where to hunt or help about areas to hunt elk. Planning on heading out middle of November for 7-10 days. Would like to have flexibility and go when snow arrives but work interferes...Not planning on bringing horses for our first time.

Pray for snow and lots of it to move elk out of park otherwise its a pretty scenic hunt. And yes lots of them in town but trust me they know right were the lines are....... I have seen several outside but mostly on private matter of fact all on private and lots of them
Can you change your schedule to come out two weeks later? That part of the state gets a lot of early pressure. The later you go, the better your odds that weather has moved critters out of the park and into Montana. Good luck.
