Sammy was a fixture of the California scene after Montrose. My buds and I saw him time and again for less than the cost of a tank of gas.
You youngsters can try to figure out how much it cost to fill our big American V8's in 1983.
We could fill up, drive to Fresno and see Sammy, and have money for beer after.
