I just got back last night from another Wyoming antelope hunt with my two oldest sons and this time I was carrying a tag - and I even got to notch it! This was their third trip for antelope and they each got one also, on the previous two hunts I was along as an observer/pack mule. Even though I got sick enough that I thought I was going to be coming home in a game bag in the back of the truck with the goats, it was one of the funnest trips of my life. I gotta get my son's camera that has most of the pics and add some better photos ........... for now, it's more drugs and sleep.

Very nice! Grats Fish4Sanity! Nice horns! Look forward to the other pics and grats on the family hunt success!

GET BETTER! Are you on antibiotics or...?

Anyhow, thanks for sharing :)

Until this year I had been building points for Wyoming antelope, saving up for one of those 'blue chip' units. I always managed to goof up on my apps and so while I was building points, I was never drawing any tag either. Then a couple of years ago my two oldest sons started putting in for tags they could draw and shooting antelope. I decided hunting was more fun than building points and so this year I decided to put in with them as a group and put the points to use as a group. Finally with a tag in hand I was headed to Wyoming, my wife's final instruction to our sons was that I wasn't to come home until I had an antelope, that was fine by me. I can't think of a better way to spend time together.

Congrats on your hunt, I like all the pics especially the last on with the antelope standing in the hills.

Great pics. What is that "cannon-like" weapon your son is shooting?
His rifle is just a 6.5 Creedmoor, so not too cannon like, he had the rifle built for both hunting and competition. Also, since he shoots suppressed it adds to the overall appearance. He had Northwest Action Works put the rifle together for him, it's a very nice shooting rifle.

Thanks for the comments, one question though, is it just me or is it REALLY hard to go back to work after you've been hunting a few days? Good luck to everyone on their upcoming hunts.
