elk only or combo

I am working on upgrading my original application of general elk to general big game combo with the plan to focus on elk during archery season and then come back for rifle mule deer! Sure beats spending 500 on a separate deer tag!

Thank you, I know nothing about hunting mule deer so I figured for 150 why not start somewhere? who knows maybe I will have that beginners luck I keep hearing about!

I did both. My logic is I would rather spend 1000 dollars and come home with a mule deer and no elk, or maybe both, then pay 800 to watch mule deer walk past me. But, I will also be living in MT this fall so I will be able to hunt all season.

Heck Im a college student, ha. I just had to really dig and plan to make the funds work, but it seems to be going well so far. Hopefully I will draw.
