Dove day afternoon

A friend and I went out on Saturday up by Solvang. It was good to be out finally, shooting stuff. We were pass-shooting them as they headed up the canyon for water in the late afternoon. We both got our limit of 10, but John's other friend that I just met that day, only got 5. I made one really good shot, and the bird fell a long way from the sky and hit the top strand of a barbed wire fence. It was thrown about 6 feet in the air by the wire, and the breast was ruined....

It only took me about 30-35 shells to get my limit.....
