CO Over the Counter Elk

As all of you, waiting for our limited tags to come in the mail but in the mean time trying to plan for the Elk over the counter tags. This is my first year as a resident in CO so I usually only get to hunt one season as a NR. Looking at all the data I was looking at Unit 13 for second season and Unit 211 for third season. Very interest in everyone's feed back and advice.

13 is almost all private. 11/211 can be good in 3rd rifle, better in 4th, usually. 3/301 on the other side of the freeway, can offer some decent late season options as well. Spend some time and explore and learn the hunt atlas: http://ndismaps.nrel.colostate.edu/index.html?app=HuntingAtlas

Thanks for the information on Unit 13. I spoke to CPW and they recommended Unit 71, 73 and 74 but I haven't had a chance to do any home work on those units.
