Bonus points in other states?

I've always wondered if bonus or preference points transfer over from state to state as you move. So I live in Montana, but might move to Colorado in two years. If I had theoretically 5 points in colorado as a nonresident, when I move there and become a resident, do I keep those points or do I have to start over with 0? I'm wondering the same with like Wyoming Utah and just that general rule. Never heard anybody talk about it and was always curious. Thanks guys!

They move with you. You’ll keep all points accumulated. No “starting over” when you arrive at the new place (and you won’t leave points behind at the old place).

Draw that sheep tag before you move away from MT!

I appreciate the info man! And trust me, I'm trying!! Hoping to draw something decent this year! Best of luck to ya!

Wyoming doesn't have resident deer/elk/antelope points, so you would lose those.
