Why do guys take their pictures with the birds belly up?

Just curious why everyone seems to do this

That is what waterfowling is all about man. Breast up! Keeping it breast up, I believe, helps improve the taste of meat (blood and 'inards settle back away from the breast meat.) That is what gramps used to tell me.

Personally I think pics of ducks are best belly down and geese are best belly up. Soley my opinion.

Sometimes I forget which it is because is is -10 with a 30 mph wind and then it is tough to care

The birds are easier to see in the picture with most birds having a lighter belly than the back. If you put them on the ground with the back up then they don't show as well. Birds liek Specklebellies are the best with the belly showing as well.
