Took the family with friends down to Wyoming on a camp. I told my wife it would not be cold, but it did get down to 33 on Friday night up at 8200ft. Saturday morning we went for a drive...saw 15 moose, 50 or so mule deer, and about 400 elk.

Never seen this:
1. 40 or so calf elk all bedded together while mamas all fed together
2. 4 moose together at once
3. Pronghorn @9200 ft

Here are some pics.....

That is really unique seeing all the calves piled together like that. I don't think I've ever seen that before, although most the elk around here break off in to tiny groups this time of year.

Great looking country too.

Very cool pics. Thanks for sharing.

Maybe the elk calves were in "time out"?
