Congrats Buzz. I'd be flabbergasted with a bull like that. Spent some serious miles in the West Fork of the Root looking around and only came up with 2 tracks. Other moose hunters reported the same.

Great bull!! I think you are right, that bull has to be at the top end for the unit you were hunting. Nice job Buzz.

That's a great moose.

I think you are right on in deciding to just draw a moose tag instead of chasing the "trophy" districts. Getting to hunt a Shiras with family is a finer trophy than any amount of antler-inches. Any way, that is a big bull.
