Any ideas on a cold weather sleeping bag ?
I have ruled out a mummy bag as I have to be able to move around.
6' 2" and 200 plus pounds.

Thank you for your help!

I feel the same way about the mummies but if you want to stay warm in cold temps its just something we have to deal with unless you want to pack a heavy bag. I'm a similar size to you and have found comfort in the light weight compact 15 degree Kuiu bag. Ofcourse their maybe something more suitable to you but that is what I know and it works for me. Good luck.

Take a look at Enlightened Equipment quilts. They have longs, extra longs, wide and extra wide. I am 6'3", 200lbs and I have a down 20 degree quilt in long. I also have a synthetic 20 degree in extra long and wide. The quilts give you a lot of flexibility and can comfortably be used as a blanket.

+1. Good pad and a EE quilt are the only way to fly.
