so here it is .... ive been in 416 few times, and looking over the HD map , it looks like the east half of the unit is forest service/public land , the west half, mostly private with some small parcels of public and state land . Theres a lot of elk killed in this unit every fall , and with no permit this year in the drawing I might target this HD for a chance at a bull . So finally heres the ? Are most of these elk being takin on private lower stuff ? or eastern public half ? any info would help major. thnkx
