Which state for Mule Deer?

Sort of a poll question, I want to plan an on your own Mule Deer Archery hunt. I live in Michigan so I obviously will be a non-resident in any other state. What state is the best for price, ease of drawing a tag, amount of game, hunting pressure and accessible land? I'm looking at Montana, Colorado, North Dakota... Probably 2011 or 2012 if possible with drawing tags. Just looking for opinions from experienced hunters.

Archery or rifle? That would have a big impact on my recommendation.

Being archery specific, MT probably wouldn't be my first choice, simply because you get no preference in drawing a tag. Some states you do, like CO, AZ, and NV.

What type of hunt are you interested in? Alpine, desert, etc?
