Spent the week of July 4th in the Turks and Caicos Islands at the Beaches resort. Managed to get in one morning of bone fishing between all of the family stuff and bad weather. The wind was up so we had a pretty rough crossing to get to a mangrove estuary. Saw a few large sharks on the way over so I was hoping our 16 ft. skiff was up to the task.

This was my first trip for bones so the guide explained everything and we did a few practice runs before we got started. We were into fish immediately and after three casts the drag was singing. I was truly impressed that a 3lb fish could put up such a fight.

We saw well over fifty fish and I managed to hook and boat three. Sight fishing is a blast; I'm already contemplating a trip to Florida in the spring.
