A friend from Miles City sent me these photos. The guy is usually reliable, but has been drinking heavily since the Vikings lost on Sunday, so I qualify the validity of his report with such warning.
Story goes........This buck had tried to cross the ice on the lower Yellowstone. Once he got out there, a small "berg" broke off and he floated it down the river.
Friend reports that he watched the buck get off safely on the other shore when he got close to the bank, down river a ways.
Probably a good thing this buck was old, wise, and patient, rather than young, hyper, and stupid. Imagine the story he told his buddies when he got back to shore.
