Last week I hunted Pronghorn in Wyoming with my 18 year old son Logan. I started gaining points five years ago for us and this was a greatly anticipated trip. The hunt itself was awesome, but not so different from lots of others posted here lately. We saw a ton of goats and were both happy with the bucks we shot.

I saw a thread from mtlion with his toddler on the prairie. That really got me thinking about how fast time goes. I've been hunting with Logan for as long as I can remember, but only one other trip out of state. I've been buying points in Wyoming and plan to make an out of state trip a priority every season, mulies next year then elk.

Remember all it goes quickly

Here's a photo from the past and a couple from our recent trip:

That was his "first" deer hunt. I shot the little buck first thing in the morning. Went back to camp woke him up and went "hunting" I jumped out the truck and fired a shot before he knew what was going on. Then let him find the buck

Fast forward to last week, that's him packing out his buck. One shot at 405 yards-6.5 Creedmoor (he had buck at 100 yards but couldn't decide if he wanted to shoot)

I shot one also and took care of mounts

Big congrats B&D! Nice looking bucks. I like those euro's. I'm planning on doing the same with mine. Did you do that yourself? If so were you able to keep the fine bone inside the nazal intact?

My first time w/ pronghorn. I had difficulty with the spiral nasal bones I completely removed them, tried to save but no way.
Look out for the base of horns, one dried completely but the other still stunk and was soft. I had to remove more material and dry with Borax.

Very cool! I always look forward to hunts with my Dad. Looks like you guys had a good time!
