South Dakota pheasants

My last hunt for 2008 was to Fort Pierre, South Dakota with my dad and uncle. My dad was going up there for buffalo, and I talked him into doing a pheasant hunt as well so I could have a reason to tag along.

I never re-sized the pics, so I posted them as thumbnails.

Looks like lots of fun was had. It was a great year for the birds.

This winter has been a bit tough on them so far, hopefully spring will bring favorable hatching conditions.

Curious, was this a fully guided deal or just a trespass fee?

It was a guided hunt. None of us have much experience hunting birds, so I found a place that wasn't too expensive. I figure you can't go to South Dakota and not go pheasant hunting.
