This year I decided to do something I find very challenging. Pass on taking a shot at good animals to wait for great ones.....
It worked tonight!
Disclaimer: I was on private land. The land owner requested archery only. It was like a petting zoo.
Had 5 decent bucks within 100 yards of me and then this guy came through like a bowling ball. I came to full draw twice as he chased does back and forth in front of me, only to let down. I was completely rattled on the third draw and porked the release. Shot placement was poor, but good enough to get close enough to stick him again. I'm glad there was snow to aid in the recovery.
Self timer, almost cut my head off.
