I love this time of year....getting ready for a family elk hunting trip to unit 19. Three of us have cow tags and ten days to make things happen. We were also lucky to get access to hanna draw HMA. Trying to get my dad his first elk will be an exciting prospect.

One of my friends just got back from a successful archery hunt. He got a cow and his buddy got a 6x6. I'm waiting to hear more of the details since his arrival Mon morning. I just haven't caught up with him yet. Earlier on the phone, he said they had a foot of snow on the trailhead and it snowed every day on them. He said it was crusty in the early mornings making it a tough stalk until the sun hit the snow.
