Howdy folks!

I have a quick question regarding GMU 16, specifically the Rabbit Ears state trust land. I'm not looking for any honey holes or double secret spots, I prefer to find those on my own. I am just curios if anyone has traveled out that way before and what type of hunting pressure to expect. I know the elk are in there, as well as black bear if I get lucky enough! Most of the State Trust Lands are access by foot or horseback only but it looks like there are some really well wore roads going right through it. Can you drive through there? I'll be using my lamborfeeties of course. As a novice hunter and first time elk hunter, any advice is welcomed!!

Best Regards,

Any chance you could PM me as well? I was looking at the map and saw the road that goes through the area but the CO Lands book says the parking is .6 of a mile from the highway?

You cannot drive on the roads in the STL. There are two parking lots, one right on 14 and the other just uphill from it - you can see them on the STL map.

The roads you see are for the private parcels on the NW side of the property.
