Got any pictures of a pack string hauling out antlers?

Seems has become tougher to find packing services to haul out an elk. Perhaps UTVs on ranches have reduced the need for as many horses out West. Maybe handling pack stock is a young man’s game in an aging industry.

Having solo packed out an elk involving five loads including my spike camp, I firmly prefer elk hunting to elk packing.

Here is a NV wilderness pack out. Easy peezy.

I noticed most of you don't use panniers, why is that? The fabric/canvas ones easily stuff into a saddle bag until needed.
Just curious.
Some of us know how to use a basket hitch and barrel hitch. Panniers alone just rest and rub and bounce on the ribs of the horse. If Saddle panniers are able to be stuffed in a saddle bag the long term durability of the fabric is suspect to me. 50 fr of 3/8 rope of a lot more compact in my saddle bag.

You will notice a lot of my Wyoming pics do have Panniers, but we use a lash cinch to anchor them and lift the load into the best position for carrying. Box hitch and Diamond.
