I went to Yellowstone yesterday for a nice Labor Day getaway with the family. Was a beautiful day and we came across this nice young bull. This year will be my first time ever elk hunting and I am so excited to start! Just seeing him got my blood pumping hard for Saturdays opener.

Our local paper had an article about how Yellowstone officials are warning tourists about rut-crazed elk. Don't look like he has the fever yet. mtmuley

I was in the Park all weekend and I can confirm that they were not yet rut crazy. Most bulls seemed to be out by themselves yet. Any day now though....
