I'm in SW Idaho. Focus mostly on big game until late Nov, but always wondering what to expect from hatch's this time of year. Last year it seemed the quail never stopped having hatch's, but when it came to pheasants they all seemed to be gone in Oct/Nov, and while I found some chukar/hun's I didn't see a big change over previous year.

Any opinionns/thoughts?

Hopefully the moisture we had in May produced some insects for the youngens. Last year we had a good hatch but very poor brood survival!
I've seen a couple of quail broods in my neighborhood with a dozen or so.

I am in NE Montana near Glasgow, Looking really good right now, though that can change with mother nature as we all know. We have been fortunate to have rains this spring though temps have at times been cool, but not cold. Right now I have high expectations for this fall, both for birds and big game!
