Just got back from a great hunt for cow elk. I was able to take a nice cow with the help of my son and my brother. It was quite a job packing out the elk because we found them about
2 miles inside a wilderness area that was a jungle of juniper, pinion and mahogany trees.
I was able to make a good shot from about 360 yards with my 7mm mag.
The few other hunters we saw were all driving the roads where no elk were to be found. Sometimes you have to be willing to work harder than everybody else to be succesful.

Congrats! That PJ country can be a chore to move through.

Looks like the scope bonked you on the noggin. I'm guessing the shot was uphill. I've been there... ;)
